I'm just glad they've officially announced the release date/year! Do you know how many countless threads we've saved from being posted?? xD

I've learned my lesson to never buy Nintendo products until years after launch and if they have good games aside from their predictable line ups.

Many, but not all. Now threads will be about which day/week it will launch, not the month >.<

Shhhhhh don't give them any ideas!!! xD

So, it will launch in less than a year and we don't even know it's name?

Keep the good job nintendo

Forget the name, we don't even know what it is exactly, lol.

Well I'm pretty shocked. Even more surprised that they won't say anything about it till after E3.

It's a big mistake imo, Everyone always talks about what has happened at E3, Even if you don't like a certain company word of mouth gets around on what they are doing/show and comes into many conversations and gets people interested and hyped into thing they would not of necessarily know about otherwise.

The really need to have some big events up there sleeve if they are to counter the negativity of missing E3 will cause.

What the fuck is the Nx?

The fuck is it? An external GPU?

It can play the New Zelda Game coming! I hope that removes the toaster from the list!

Toaster

What if the Nx is like a power enhancer for the Wii U. So Zelda comes to both systems because the Nx is the Wii U?

Welp, I saw this coming. I for one don't think its a bad thing cause if the NX were to launch in 2016, the wiiU/3ds might have gotten less games as a result since they would have wanted to push reasons for people to buy the NX.

So since with every new game released, the value of the console/handheld goes up, I for one am happy. Yea the sales of the wiiU isn't that great and the 3ds is slowing down but from a customer perspective, I don't care about that but rather care about what I got for the money I invested... And what I got was a standard console life cycle which is good for me.

Missing holiday season will hurt them quite a bit(in my opinion) as the PS4 will probably have something close to 65 million units in homes by March 2017...

This... Sony will atleast be over 60m by then (probably closer to those 65m you stated).

That is one hellva headstart.

Even if the NX has some more power or something special about it, 3rd party wont just ditch those 60m+ Sony users, or the 25m? Xbox One users, in favor of Nintendo.

Also the more people that buy a PS4 or XB1, the less non hardcore nintendo fans, are there as potential buyers.

(assumeing its a traditional home console).

In your dreams. Get ready for dissapointment. Also, that's not a headstart, as we're talking about different generations.

There are benefits to doing it at E3 and there are also benefits to having your own dedicated conference.  The bigger mistake I think is not getting this thing out before the holidays.  With the Wii U and 3DS lineups how they are, Nintendo is looking at a year of sharp sharp decline for their dedicated gaming business.  They better hope that their mobile stuff is enough to keep them going.
