I mean, for a cheap promotional animation that pretty much just recaps the first level of the game, it's fine. Animation was choppy and the way they threw in random lines from the game during combat was awkward, as was that weird bit with the glowy DNA Pepper trap thing. But for something that probably had no budget, it was fine, although a step down from the Kid Icarus stuff. Best produced part of it was the voice acting. Still makes me pine for a Star Fox series with an actual budget, though...

It was AMAZING! So why do I get the gut feeling that we are about to be burdened with a terrible looking live action movie from Nintendo?...

DAMNIT NINTENDO, DO A CGI MOVIE!!!

I found the dialogues to be pretty good (besides the Barrel-Rol translation in Italian, I would have much prefered them to keep the original due to how iconic it is...)
The graphics were... Strange to say the least, it looks like they mashed up 3 or more art styles and I found it strange in a bad way, especially when they had Anime style characters interact with 3D CG environments...

Bit cheesy, but just woke up at 3am and watched it. Lot of fun! Would like a cartoon now!

Why didn't you wait to watch it a bit later ? Damn, at least I'm glad you appreciated it :P

Yep.It's strange but it fits the Star Fox pretty well, IMO

More Nintendo's inability to maintain good momentum. Just when you think Nintendo knows exactly what they're doing, and you're excited about the future of the company (E3 Digital Event 2014) their next move seems to take a thousand steps backward and you wander what the heck they were thinking (E3 Digital Event 2015).

I thought the corniness of it along with the humor was pretty great. The character voice acting was great, and the art style was really cool. I thought the animation itself could have been a bit more smoothed out, but it was decent. I WANT MORE!!!

The dialogues were at time a little cheesy, but other than that, I loved it. Amazing art style, good voice acting and great animation/action.

Everytime nintendo experiment with anime, like this, the Kid Icarus shorts (not the cgi ones), Fire Emblem and SSB trailers, I ALWAYS find myself asking for more.

Completely agree.  With nintendo being in a financial slump this past generation i wish they would just partner with a quality anime studio and start turning their ip into animes.  Zelda, metroid, star fox, kid icarus, metroid, fire emblem, metroid, hell even pikmin could be really cool with the right direction.  Also did i mention metroid?

Didn't know there was already a thread!

Loved the video. I sent wait to play. I'll buy it tomorrow.
