Really I would just call you Jamican or American. Thats how I prefer it. Or Carribean. 

Nah, I'm "black" because my skin is black. Knowing that I'm Jamaican isn't something you'd be able to tell by looking at me. For instance, if you describe a missing person as "5 feet tall, Jamaican" the assumption is that the person is black. But there are Jamaicans of all races and skin colors.

You're judged by your past atrocities. That sucks for sure and I don't think it's right. But try being a college educated man who's 2 college degrees, a wife and kids, and a great job but still likened to every thug with his pants dropping off his ass or every babies daddy and drug dealer out there. I'll take any of your stereotypes and trade you mine. Old ladies don't clutch their purse or walk to the other side of the street because you're "pussy whipped". Fathers don't tell their daughters stay away from you because you're white. They do because I'm black though. Look, there are effed up things we all have to face. And frankly it makes no sense for us to bicker about who has it worse. The fact that any of us have it bad at all as it pertains to the way we're perceived by others is a stain upon the human condition in and of itself.

Lol I joke with my wife that I married her for her credit score and to get out of tickets. She says she married me because of good sex. Oddly enough, she gets more tickets than I do and I have a better credit score LOL.

That's why I don't buy into stereotypes. I know they exist for a reason but I've been breaking them my whole life and many (not sure if I can say most) people I met are not even close to stereotypical.

The OP is a friend of mine on 3DS, WiiU, and Miitomo outside of this site. He knows half of what I say is just joking. Some people think I'm serious, though. 

There's a little thing I say: "The moment we can all joke scout each other's stereotypes and not have people cry foul is the moment we know we've taken a step in the right direction."

For those of you wondering, yes, I know systematically, blacks are still inferior compared to whites.


I've just had a huge problem with people who say it's inappropriate to make jokes about black people, but 5 seconds later they end up making loads of jokes about white people.

In all honesty, I don't care at all about jokes. I've heard many ISIS/terrorist jokes about me, and I just laugh them off(some are funnier than I expect). Considering how they're JOKES, my friends and I will rarely get pissed off whenever we poke fun at each other.

Make all the black and white jokes. Go ahead. Just don't say it's offensive to make jokes about one group of people while you go ahead and laugh at another.
