I don't know the answer, but I will shortly. I just got hired by the developers of TIM, and might be able to find out first-hand next week when I fly out to their HQ for training. Even though I'm under NDA, maybe I can ask them to do a press release about the whereabouts of TIM.

Any good new game is "the arcade's turnaround"
When you have good games, XBLA does well - look at Rez HD, N+, Metal Slug 3, Brain Challenge and Poker Smash. All 3 games did remarkably well. Its when you have crap like Bliss Island, and such that sales start to be horrid.

brain challenge was good I think(from the trial), but overpriced. Pricing (and profit sharing) will only get bigger as an issue.

Sweet, I just bought Ikaruga though I haven't played it, yet. (Later tonight :) ) and yes I bought it w/o trying the demo first, since I'm a big Treasure fan anyway! (Where is my Radiant Silvergun!)
Oh and I was short on MS points, so I stopped at a local video game/dvd rental store near me and picked up a "special limited edition MS points card" 
haha, Well it was the same price as the "regular" 3500 MS points card, so why not? 
(They also had another Idolmaster: L4U MS points card w/a different picture)

I meant after those games, when Tiqal and bliss island came out (along with other disapointments.)

Just an FYI:
We'll have to wait till tommorow to certify it, but Ikaruga is certainly on pace to beat Rez HD for fastest selling title of 2008.
For refference: Rez HD sold 25,000+ copies in the first 3 days of sale, on XBLA.
Currently, Ikaruga, after a mere 18hrs on sale, has already amassed 5,500 units.
