You will see noticeable diference on a 32 from 720p to 1080p.

Also, I assume you old tv is using old technology also, so not only resolution will be a factor, but improved reponse time, contrast and even because is LED and not LCD.

So yes, is worth it, but if size isn't a physical restriction consider going for a bigger tv.

330$ for a 32" television? You may as well save a bit more $$$ for a 4k TV.

OP is in Canada (in case you didn't notice the bestbuy.ca domain).  $330 Canadian works out to $257 US.

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

I'm getting a new tv REALLY soon. But sometimes I think its not worth it and im wasting my money lol. I currently own a 32 inch 720p tv. I want an upgrade to a 32 inch 1080p TV so I can fully enjoy the FULL resolution of the PS4. This is the TV Im planning on getting

Is it worth upgrading? If you find a better tv around that price let me know!

I am also willing to go up to 42 inches if  you find a good tv deal!

For about $100 CAD more you can get that same model in 40 inches. I would do that if you want an upgrade that feels like an upgrade. Otherwise, 1080p would be noticeable, but not by a huge amount.

Its a noticeable upgrade.

How long will you have the TV for? 5 years? 7?

Get a 1080p TV.

It depends. If you watch mostly 720p content, it will look better on a 720p screen.
If you mostly watch 1080p content, use a 1080p screen, simple. Avoid scaling whenever you can.

Or get a 4K tv, that can display both 720p (3x3) and 1080p (2x2) without scaling artifacts.
Too bad 900p won't look right on any of them :/

So, uh, what's the cheapest good 4K TV you guys would recommend for gaming? I'm in the market for a new TV, so I may as well future proof this one. I'm thinking like 55in.

(Assuming you have these) Smash Bros Wii U in 1080p and Mario Kart 8 and 3D World upscaled to 1080p is nice, yes.
