Why does it matter?

Do you really care if the person in the stall next to you shitting is a woman or a man?

However, why is this an issue. If the person is dressed as a woman but still has a penis... then as far as I am concerned how the hell do you know he/she has a penis unless you're peering over/under the stall?

I seriously don't get the debate on this issue. It just doesn't matter. A perv will go in regardless of any legal justification. So you are not stopping those people either way. All this is doing is making life harder on people who chemically / hormonal-ly identify with the opposite sex.

let people use whatever they want
or do the rule strikt by sex (not gender identity)
otherwise you don't solve any problems, just creat new ones...

i sometimes use the ladies bathroom, when men is occupied
and i often see women use the mens bathroom, when theires is occupied at festivals etc

I ve sen women use the mens room sometimes at something like a concert o event do to lines and they naturally go in the stalls were there s some privacy- -  but not the other way around-  If a man went into an occupied ladies room w out permison or perhaps being related to the lady(s) in that restrooms, they owuld either get the poice called on them or get beat the hell up-

If I saw a man go into an occupied ladies room i would have a big problem w it

Part of what you say is true but its not so black and white. The fact of the matter is that this greatly increases the "ability to abuse" from some oddball. It just seems like a problem that no solution really solves the increase in abusers that will take advantage. You are right most people wouldn't care if the person in the stall next to them is a man or women but thats not the main concern with the issue imo.

Just seems like a no win solution where the middle ground comes with risks that will be abused. Ignoring the possible problems only encourages agenda pandering for political correctness. "A perv will go in regardless" ignores that this would completely open up and make it easier to do resulting in increase frequancy of such problems.

It's totally okay for a trans person to use the bathroom they're most comfortable with, I mean cisgender people use the bathroom they're most comfortable with so why can't a transgender or gender fluid person? And like what you said all people really use the bathroom for is to piss and shit anyways lol not really a big deal and if people really care that much then just have a genderless bathroom made.

LMAO, you've totally bought in to all the cis gender, gender fluid BS. Come on bro. 'Cisgender' people don't use the bathrooms they are 'most comfortable' with - MEN use MENS bathrooms and WOMEN use WOMENS bathrooms and it's determined by whatever genitals you have. That's how it's been, so let's keep it simple. And if all you care about is the recious comfort levels ofyour fellow human beings, wellmyself and many millions of other 'cisgender' people, as you like to call us, would be incredibly uncomfortable sharing restrooms with transgenders.

Women spend far more time in the restroom and go to the restroom with greater frequency than men, so yes it DOES matter just from a pratical standpoint. As a man I don't want to be sharing a restroom with a bunch of of 'women' that will create longer lines and wait tims. And if I was a father I sure as hell woulnt want my wife or daughter going in to the same restroom men go in to

That's because us males have the "privilege" of shorter lines due to not having to take an hour to relieve ourselves followed by a round of "freshening up" and yapping away with about half a dozen of our friends.

That's why we need unisex / genderless bathrooms.... to score a victory for gender equality and to stick it to the Patriarchy!  /s

When men just start pissing outside rather than waiting in those long queues.... yep, the stench of piss everywhere is the stench of victory

Hey, when you gotta go, you gotta go.  After all, it's much better to be pissed off than pissed on

Unless you're into that sort of thing...

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.

i think if you got a penis you go to the men's bathroom simply because men can't fucking keep the public toilets clean.

If we allowed transgender to go into a woman's bathroom then it end up looking like a mess and women would feel disgusted being with a man and us hetrosexual man will not get any action.

UNISEX with warning men fuck up toilet labels is the way to go lol.

You won't be in the shitter with women. That's the whole point. That person is a man in all ways but testes. The mentality is that of a man and would use the restroom in a similar fashion.

I am a father and if a person who changed themselves to a women is going in the same bathroom as her then so what. Again that person is a woman on the inside and frankly just as much as a danger to my daughter as any other person.

I really dislike this complete ignorant thought that you are somehow more in danger from someone who is gay / transgender than any other random person. That is just ... well frankly idiotic.

Your fictional daughter has a much higher chance of a straight white male grabing her on the way to the bathroom and raping her in the male bathroom.

Gender neutral bathrooms should become more common. Personally I have no problem with trans people going to whatever bathroom they feel most comfortable. A trans-woman is highly unlikely to be a perv who will go into a female bathroom to try to watch / film women taking a pee. Phenotypic females need to start accepting people with different anatomies who identify as women going into their bathrooms. And so should men. Though I suspect a trans-man might feel quite a lot of intimidation and vulnerability to physical violence going into a men's bathroom. Trans women will mostly feel vulnerable to verbal abuse only.

My son's high school just converted some bathrooms to gender neutral, while retaining mostly bathroom labelled "male" or "female". That way everyone is comfortable with the public facility they choose to use.

In my place of work, we used to have a "Unisex" bathroom, but very people used it anyway... So now everybody goes to wherever place they feel more comfortable with, and most people seems not to care.
Since the place where I work is mostly young people, I guess this is not a big deal... But for more public places, I guess the Unisex thing may work.
I for one, do not really case, as long as everybody does his/hers needs private and with respect.
