Forums - Sony - Insomniac: RAC Takes Around 11 Hours To Complete Without Finishing Everything

Sounds good to me. I look forward to adding this staple of a game to my collection

This sounds perfect. More devs should follow this. Not ever wants to play your game for 100+ hours.

Making the compulsory The Order comparison in terms of price vs game length. It's probably the case that the Order cost a lot more to make than R&C, which allowed R&C to be priced lower, quite apart from the fact that the game is partly being used to promote the film and earn revenue indirectly that way. But game development cost is a sober lesson for game developers. If you are going to make an expensive game, and charge $60 then it needs a decent play length (>10 hrs) or it needs replay or multiplayer value.

Considering New Game + is HUGE in R&C games I know I'll be completing this multiple times.

To add to your obligatory The Order comparison, I also feel it necessary to indicate that the new Ratchet and Clank is visually superior to the Order.

This is what I like to hear. I'm glad to hear that this game is on a duration sweet spot for a game of its kind. I'm more surprised that a $40 game can be this way.

Aesthetically, maybe, not sure that it is technically superior.

Nice! If they say it takes 11h to finish it, I'll probably take 20h+. I'm really slow, I like to stare at things, replay levels and explore everything.

Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won

Sounds about right. 15 would've been better, but I'm slow, so chances are it would take me that long anyway.

More than I expected. Wicked!
