If the difference is to be able to play 4k movies in 60fps but the game are unaffected.... WTF are people are complaining about?... When they released the PS3 slim with the codec for DolbyHD and full HDMI1.4A what I did with my fat PS3?... I kept it and I went to the store to get a new blueray player.

The PS4 is a "video game console" with a blu-ray player.

People make complains M$ for releasing a multimedia box and now they complains at Sony for releasing a gaming console.

It's been said in every rumor source that the PS4K doesn't have "exclusive" content, but that content is being made with its higher specifications in mind. This content, according to these rumors, will still run on vanilla PS4, just not at as high of a framerate/resolution.

I'm sure Gamestop will have a trade-in special (likely $250 for a PS4, over the normal $200), so if you REALLY want the upgrade, drop $150.

So... Why would "fanboys" be pissed if the console won't have any exclusive games and if the games won't even be played with higher resolution?

If PS4K is real I think it'll upscale all games to a 4K resolution. Based on how many that have downplayed that feature you'd assume that not many will be pissed. Personally, I'll sell my PS4 for cheap to my brother in law (who'd like a PS4 for his children) and buy this PS4K. Am I going to be pissed. Lol no. Why the fuck would I buy it then XD

For years the traditional concsol cycle was between 4-5 years. The Wii U is right on track to continue this tradition. The Wii did not follow this rule and it was a huge cash in for Nintendo. They made a lot of money off of the Wii. The Wii U, not so much. Give the PS4 another 2 years and then the PS5 should be good. I think a 2017-2018 is a viable launch period.

Don't forget the 13.7 Millione PS Vita owners who still are waiting for support and games from Sony ;)

I don't always agree with Aerys but I fail to see why a comparison between New 3DS and the rumored PS4K has to be a joke.

I think they're quite alike and I'm ok with both products.
