Forums - Microsoft - Do the visuals in quantum break slightly bother anyone else?

I have pretty sensitive eyes and I can tell when a game jumps from 1080p to 900p. Quantum Break is easily 720p and its extremely grainy. I know its not my TV, because I played Infamous before it a day earlier and my TV doesnt come out grainy like that (while playing in 1080p). Perhaps my game has a setting on that I have not yet employed. Any advice to stop the graininess? The game might need a performance patch.

Pfft. Blah! (Im getting Rachet & Clank day one btw)

Don't think there are any settings to change. The game does look fuzzy and soft because of the low resolution, and the reconstruction method does introduce some problems like streaks behind objects close to the camera, but it also helps clean up the image a bit. I guess you gotta just live with it.

Yeah, the art style is what really has me captivated but it affects my tv with its stuttery way of running. I hope they are working on a performance patch because the way this game is set up I might play a second playthrough in the near future. Infamous handles way better than this game (even with massive particle effects)in the non stutter parts but it seems like they are just using tricks to hold up the stability of the framerate. My eyes are going nuts here.

I wouldn't say that it is. No. Its barely scraping by. They are definitely using tricks to keep the graphics all together at as high a resolution that they can.

It doesn't really bother me because I find that grainy visual style quite nice but it image quality does get a bit blurry sometimes. Try toning down brightness if it's too grainy for you, I did set brightness setting lower than usual. I can see it being annoying for someone with sensitive eye though, for me it's kind a like when I saw my first bluray movie, I thought I'll never watch any blurry DVD shit anymore but today it doesn't make much difference which one I'm watching.

Its weird that you say that you use dvds becauseI no longer use them, but I stream in standard definition with Netflix. Its the constant change from grainy to blurry and back to clear. Its intense. I might try to lower the display lighting.
