Forums - Gaming - How can anyone dissmiss the graphics of FF15? Not the devolopers but your Consoles are too weak for this game #Reality

I edit alot, no need to worry and expect to see it alot. I do it cause of people who like to deconstruct every little piece of my sentence with pointless arguments and because i tend to typo alot. I avoided that argument that would go "oh but this isnt actually piece of the actual final game. This is an exclusive area. (even though we know that final area.)". Pointless argument.

And a preview of an album is indicative of the song its trying to play. I don't know why this snippet of the game should not be considered to be the game. That is the whole point of it isnt it?

It's not that hard to create a good demo. Theres plenty of good demos. What is difficult is to be able to look at FF as a special case of sorts where we should accept everything just cause its FF.

The part here that creates the controversy is that they (SE) came out and said that this is not a part of FFXV but rather something they threw together in about 2 months to give you an idea for the "feel of the game."  I personally took it as a gameplay demo and largely ignored any of the technical deficiencies, especially given the small production window they used to put this platinum demo together.

All that said, they definitely should've put forth a better showcase for the game they are releasing in 5 months.

Well... as i say. If the final game performs well and has none of the sloppyness, then i have no issue with that. But you know... actions speak louder than words. It was a mistake to release such a demo imo.

After that its only the combat system, but those are design choices. Either way i want the game to do well because it will continue the resurgence of JRPG's. And i want a freaking new Grandia!

I agree. People can say the final game will be leagues better, but until it comes out and is better we can only go off of what is shown. There was just a LOT of sloppiness in a game that looks only better than cross gen titles, and has some of the worst performance seen this gen. That's what I played and that's what I seen.

And was I the only one that was really expecting something much better from the luminous engine?... Granted the specs of the hardware are obviously holding it back, which is sad.

The DEMO (not FF XV) was below expectations in a TON of ways.

SE is a great developer and well versed on the graphics department, but ND has been above them for two generations now,

You're talking purely on graphics department, yes?

Consoles are weak and graphics are just ok. Combine that and you get the worst case scenario aka FFXV.

The Witcher 3 on PC with some sweetfx rapes this thing.

It doesn't even take that. MGS V and Witcher III's clean looking graphics and stable(r) framerate rapes it.

Sometimes you really go out of your way to call some absurdly unneeded stuff.
You come to defend FFXV graphics, which are great, then attack Uncharted to make a point.
Uncharted prove yourself wrong, it's definitely better looking than FFXV, don't add buts, deal with it, and proves PS4 is a damn good piece of hardware.
FFXV demo was not optmized, SE said their are aiming for the best with a stable framarate until release.

FFXV is a very ambitious game, it looks amazing, and consoles are the reason it exists and capable enough to deliver it, but don't compare it with Uncharted 4, SE is a great developer and well versed on the graphics department, but ND has been above them for two generations now, don't add nonsense there, deal with it, and don't attack consoles, FFXV is not even released, has half a year for that to happen, and if they don't deliver somewhere, it's their fault, not anyone's else.

I'm very excited for FFXV, my most hyped game this year, but please, stop white knighting.

ND hasn't done an open world game before at this level of graphical proficiency.  UC4 is more open, but it's not open world sandbox level; much less an RPG with so many progressive calculations that change over the course of the game and over a huge space.  Will UC4 even have a night/day cycle?

That being said, while FF13 was linear through the first half it opened up later on with lots of enemies in a variety of places with very beautiful environments.

Yes.

Even though TLOU beats anything SE ever did, IMO (not SE fault, it beats basically anything anyone ever did xP)

See, you were going fine until you had to add more things than needed to the reply. Also a factually wrong thing to add, too.

I cant believe this is an issue. The game will be optimized before release. Anyone implying that the final release will run at 20fps is full of it. And yes, the game looks insane.

Wouldn't be the first FF game that runs like shit on a console. Also wouldn't be the firs PS4 game that runs like shit. I will believe stable 30 fps when I see it.

Actually people who think you can "optimize" away a 30% performance deficite are full of it.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

and what ff games run like shit on consoles? or what ps4 game runs like shit?

Dude, consoles are not PCs that can be upgraded every 2 years or so and probably never will be. Upgradeable consoles is a pipe dream because it makes no sense for any of the big 3 to do it. Otherwise, they would have done that years ago. I don't care that you want better graphics with the consoles this early in the gen. There's a lot of more better reasons for console makers to keep the console gens as is versus it being where we have to buy upgraded consoles every year or so.
