And btw, these are people who've spent time in Europe. I could show polls of muslims from the middle east if you like?

 

The poll of 40% want Sharia law was false and they had to apologise for it.

Edit, if people aren't idiots and ran from the boogeyman which is Sharia law, they would know that it is Sharia law to respect the law of the land. I.e. Every Muslim has to respect and follow the law of the country they reside in. So why that is a complaint I don't understand.

5) the so called "Muslim terrorists“ are part of a cult called the Khawarij in the Muslim world. They are not considered Muslim, they do not follow Sharia law and they have killed more Muslims to date than any other faith, culture or race to date.

6) the Syrian / Afghan issue has been a 100 years in the making when the Ottoman Empire was torn up. The west decided to rip apart a Sufi led Muslim middle East and replace it dictators that only cared about money and themselves and small denominations that were the total opposite of the sufi led Ottomans. This was to ensure the Ottoman Empire could never regroup. The problem with that is simple:

The opposite of a sufi denomination is a conservative, closed off and really conservative denomination. The Saudis for example as soon as they were put in power started to destroy historical sites and push a new agenda - their agenda. They were naturally backed by their western friends.

The problem is, although all this seamed like a great idea at the time, they forgot that when you put dictators, greedy people, and very conservative minor denominations in charge who do not believe in leaders as they often just do their own thing, you are essentially brewing a shit storm.

What we see here today are the results of decisions made a century ago. Instead of addressing them, we are pointing fingers and thinking that by calling names and being hostile (something that has failed to work since 9/11, things will get better. We think that by painting everyone with the same brush because they are different will solve the problem.

It's been 15 years since 9/11 and people are singing the same song, pushing the same language, pointing fingers everywhere and hoping that something different happens. It's the definition of insanity, and people are far too invested in their own stories that they push their agenda and belief in hopes that it will make them feel better or magically produce a solution. It hasn't yet and do not be surprised if it doesn't tomorrow, or the day after.

I will agree that the invasion of the middle east by the united states was a dumb decision, but had nothing to due with Europe.

Add Nato for a little more flavor.

Europe played it's part as the UK joined in, and EU countries which are in the UN did nothing. It's like any law, if a murder takes place and you are part of the group and do nothing you are considered an accomplice.

So that makes it right?  I don't want sharia law in the western world! If they want to be by its rules, don't come here in the first place!

Well, the German (and Swedish) government does it darndest to make sure that journalists and social media do not publish articles or videos that have so-called "hate speech" against migrants. For instance, the Cologne sexual assaults. For an incident that huge to the point that officers said that they never saw anything like it, why did it take nearly a week for the news to come out? How come this video by Ivan Jercevic got take down from Facebook when he didn't display any hate speech? Don't you find this odd?

Anyhu, stop arguing people. I just finished watching the big short. Amazing moving about the recession with Brad Pitt, Ryan Gosling, Steve Carell and Christian Bale. Based on a true story about a group of people who saw the recession coming.

As a bonus it's not off topic. The ending of the film brings this debate full circle.
