Looks like Microsoft is already working on the next-gen XBox perhaps, a job listing for an MS XBox employee under something called "XBox neXt" has popped up. 

Maybe that's why Phil Spencer was iffy on an XBox 1.5 ... they could be skipping straight to an XBox 2 perhaps. 

Also yes, cue to XBox NX jokes.

Pretty sure MS will absorb the X1 and move on as  soon as its possible without cutting X1's life too short (2018)

Companies are always working on their next version of hardware well in advance of it's release. Sony is likely working on the PS5 as well.

I'm thinking 2018 probably, five years seems like it's enough for XBox One.

I think Nintendo + MS working together would ultimately be good for the industry and consumers but their egos are too big to work together.

This is news? I'd be very surprised if the PlayStation 5 isn't in development too.

Why is this surprising? Its 2016, I would be surprised if it wasn't true at this point.



Made a bet with LipeJJ and HylianYoshi that the XB1 will reach 30 million before Wii U reaches 15 million. Loser has to get avatar picked by winner for 6 months (or if I lose, either 6 months avatar control for both Lipe and Hylian, or my patrick avatar comes back forever).

They've been out 2 and a half years, I'm sure PS5 and XB(Whatever) is in development.
