Shantae: Risky's Revenge launched on Wii U a couple of days ago. I'm frankly suprised it took so long especially since its already on the PS4.
Its a really good game and my foray into the series. I got on Steam way back I forget when. Anyway, it kind puts you into a part of the story you may need to go look u the previous game to understand. I havven't played the first game either and I haven't had any problems settling into the game, but I'm not a story driven type of gamer, as gameplay makes it great, but others might look into getting the first one if it really matters that much.
Its not as crisp as the Pirate's Curse in my opinion, but there's a very different platforming expereince to be had here and its something I highly recommend whether you played Pirate's Curse or not.
*Not sure I mentioned this before, but Pirate's Curse is also available on X1 and PS4 too.
