 - the most significant, general thing that seems obvious from this list to me... Xmas 2007 will surely be the most insane period of game releases ever in the history of gaming. Even a few titles released at once at Xmas would be significant - but surely this is the first time ever every platform seems to be FLOODED with original, quality titles. You have to really wonder what all this competition will do, and what titles will succeed (and which will fail). Also don't be too surprised to see a few push back into early next year (Jan or Feb releases - for marketing reasons alone).

 - it looks like most gamers could easily list 10 titles they plan to buy this year. No wonder the games industry is BOOMING! And this doesn't even include handhelds, or hardware spending. 

 - the 2 big Nintendo titles top the list, a long way out from everything else. Not only do a lot of users vote for either/both of them, they tend to get the 5 or 4 points most times.

 - Smash Brothers is also popular, but not as desired as either Metroid or Mario. This doesn't really surprise me.

 - Halo 3 picked up good votes in the latter part of the voting, to jump up to spot #4 in the list. It remains the most popular 360 title coming out (no great surprise there).

  - after its recent strong showing at Sony's game day, Uncharted is now the most anticipated PS3 title (I find it the most interesting title on the PS3 at the moment IMO).

 - every title on the list is a platform exclusive title (bar GTA - tying for spot #10)

 - PS3 / Wii share the honours in terms of number of titles in the top 10, with the 360 only taking the 1.5 spots.

 - Sony have a strong batch of titles coming out for the PS3 soon. I would expect some serious movement on the hardware sales front (how this impacts the Wii/360 is another question - no reason why all platforms can't sell strongly).

 - every Nintendo title on the list is a "sequel" (to a well known property), whereas every Sony title is a "original" title (bar R&C/GTA).

 - it seems pretty obvious why 3rd-parties "struggle" on Nintendo platforms. The key Nintendo titles are so popular, its hard for much else to get attention. Only quality titles get even close.

I want to (at some point) compile a secondary table, which is an unweighted version (i.e. how many people listed each game, regardless of position). When combining both tables, we should be able to extrapolate some interesting facts. 

No More Heroes should have 7 points instead of 4.
