Well I just thought racial slurs and death threats and other mistreatment online would be a larger issue, and I don't see Microsoft making a list with those peoples names on it. But no it's the cheaters(people who use other peoples game saves, not online cheating that would enhance your online game)!!! First off I don't cheat at games I like and am good at, 99% of the time I beat them on my own(Cod4, Halo3, Mass Effect, Twilight Princess, etc...) I cheat at games I just want to play through, because I started to hate them and regret shelling out 60 bucks on. Or a game I rented and don't have time to finish, and perhaps don't' want to finish, so I pop in a game save just to see what the rest of the game is like. Much like watching a movie that gets boring so you start to fast forward. And I have no problem telling my friends, I cheated I really don't care. I just think it's insulting to your customer that has given you thousands of dollars to come out with a list, with the intent to embarrass them. Maybe I'll start to spy on you and post all your private actions on a blog, maybe you think the whole world has a right to know that. Seriously I don't see how anyone can think this is acceptabl | dude get over it...and if you want to blog my life i am flattered knock your self out face it if you cheat and get caught you deserve all that they give you and more |
I hope the annoying list is next. the blogging point was simple, what I do offline shouldn't be policed and told to the world, it's giving the online community the idea that I cheat online, and I should be watched out for, and thats not true, I don't and can't cheat online. I honestly admit anything I do, but the idea that the company that i've given so much money over the years is going to publish me on some list for some type of embarssement is silly. It's basically saying since you've been such a good customer, we're going to publicly humiliate you. It's also silly because wiping out my gamerscore eliminates any reason for keeping that account, I could just open a new one. Secondly I can assure you people who didn't cheat will be published on that list.
And maybe I would get over it, if someone would just see my point of view instead of treating my like a jerk. Seriously I deserve all that they give me and more? I spent 60 bucks on the game 60 bucks a year for online, 400 bucks on the system, a 100 bucks on the wireless device, and since a skipped a level I deserve public humiliation and more? Do you think Microsoft should ban me? For paying money to them and playing honestly online and offline(just occasionaly with someone elses save).
The bottom line is this: This can only hurt Microsoft. It will piss off people who are on the list, and even those of you who love the idea I don't believe will runout and buy more stuff with Microsoft on it as a reward for their policing effort.
