I really hope all this focus on Mobile & amiibo (figurs & cards), and those planned themeparks, doesnt end up hurting their console bussiness.

I want nintendo focused, on makeing a home console, thats the best on the market.
Not thinking up weird ways of makeing joy rides, for a themepark.

So Nintendo's trying to be reborn from its ashes huh? Sounds interesting. Learning from what you did wrong and acting on it. Let's hope you actually deliver Nintendo. That's the hard part as talk is cheap.

I took it to mean, "without being bound by the need to be successful with every single thing we do"--basically the opposite of developers who go under because of one bad game.

It's not. If you read both letters you would see that.

I imagine some hardcore Disney fan back in 1954 going: Boy, i sure hope Mr.Disney knows what he is doing there! It would be danm shame if this joyride idea of his ended up hurting his movie business! Afterall it's us the moviegoing audience that are the ones he should be concentrating on! We might never see a decent, hight quality flick out of them ever again if this persists! :P

On a more serious note, this thing mentiones that their core business is integrated Hardware-Software business, aka the NX.  Broadening their appeal and income streams from their IP can only help them at this point.

Veri intrigued by the NX but for some unknown reason I'm not hyped anymore. Guess I'll wait until reveal and try to approach it with caution.

And we haven't the only thing that Nintendo told us about the NX is that its a unified platform and it wont run android.
