Not sure I'd call this feature a mode, more like a modification of your Arwing to boost its power but also boost the power of your enemies.

Whatever the case, gonna wait for confirmation.

That hardcore mode better be unlockable through playing through the campaign once. I'll be disappointed if it's actually locked behind an Amiibo.

lol why would anybody be surprised by this. They did stuff like this before and got away with it. They just found a new way to increase revenue.

At least mobile game microtransactions usually don't offer anything you can't accomplish just by playing the game (as long as it may take.)

amiibo should be used for early unlocks and refillable stuff. Other than that, they shouldn't be used for providing experiences that obviously should already be in the game, or that detract from the game when not included in the base package. For example, aesthetic stuff is alright. Like how Fox's amiibo is used in this same game.

Don't you think you're jumping the gun a bit? The only thing this confirms is that Falco unlocks a unique arwing. It doesn't confirm this is hard mode. The invincible mode is included in the game, so I don't see why hard mode can't be included as well. I'd wait before making that claim.

I do admit locking that arwing behind Falco is crappy though.

Did you contribute to the initial massive success of amiibo? Did you contribute to more of its success after we were being shown hints of it being used for sorta shady stuff? If you said "yes" to these questions, well, this is kinda your fault.
