the best part of VR is that it works with every game (and movies) and will get you fully immersed in whatever you're doing. You don't need to design things for it it's much more organicly integrated into EVERYTHING than past add-ons |
I dont know about movies and tv shows in general(and even that I think needs update and all), but VR, as konnichiwa said, is more complicated, since you need the game to function is two screens at the same time, and without getting you sick-motion, and for that to happen you need to increase the fps to 120 I think, and its hard to acomplish that. And you need that extra work to make that happen. Its not that the PSVR will work with every game. The developer need to port to it.
My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

It's going to be interesting to see the number of returns on this product, especially those who buy it without realizing it requires a PS4 to use..
Current gaming platforms - Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Wii U, New 3DS, PC

And I had to discuss with a guy they were going to sell 100K total... though it might have been Prinz which I discussed with Seems great. |
You expect PS4 to be at 80M at the end of 2018?
Those newly developed screens they invented, it uses will come down in price over time.
Once they can sell this PS VR unit 50-100$ cheaper is when it really takes off.
8m in 2years... yes I could see that happending.
Good news!
8M in 2 years would be a strong number I guess.

It's very likely that PS4 will be 80M+ at the end of 2018.

18m+ year one, it's already up YoY, so probably in excess of 20m in 2016, beyond barring the unforeseen. The price will come down and we could expect the sales to continue up YoY fairly confidently, so yeah, it's likely it'll be over 80m by the end of 2018.

You dont?
it was at 35.9m, and this year its up YoY and likely to reach 20m sold.
By the end of 2016, we ll see the PS4 at ~56m (slightly optimistic).
Throw in another 2 years of maybe 18m? and your looking at a potential 90m+ by the end of 2018.
