Forums - Sony - Uncharted: A Thief's End 48GB Install

All those textures, that shit sure makes Uncharted heavy, but look at what was possible with UC 2 and UC3 which had similar file sizes. The textures on the trees in Uncharted 3 where truely a gen ahead since they top some trees on PS4.

Buy physical games and delete games you are not currently playing = problem solved.

and what happens if the game has game breaking bugs that require patches?  Gen ends and you can't get te patches anymore, so you stuck with installed game.

Not much you can do at that point except avoiding broken games. I mean,i have 200+ games on PS3 plus hundreds of PSN games (excluding PS+) there's no way i'm storing all that on hard drives,it's just not happening.

Wow, maybe 1 day we will have 1TB discs.

Better question. Why aren't system patches allowed to be backed up, to begin with. There's no explination why this isn't an option. We can back up save files. But not patches? The consoles boarder so much on PC's. But can't do that. Besides, if the console isn't supported anymore. Your entire digital game becomes unusable. Once your HDD fails. Game or patches. What's it matter, at that point. You'd have to go and re-buy, or pay a licence transfer price, for the port/remaster etc. again.

Who gives a fuck it's Uncharted 4!

Dude, what the heck. It's bad enough The Last of Us took 50GBs of permanent space (Digital version) in my HDD. Now this? Seriously? :(

There will probably be a website (authorized or unauthorized) that will host the patches and there will probably be a way to transfer the files onto the PS4.

I'm expecting a similar length to The Last of Us, which took me about 15 hours to finish on my first try on medium/hard difficulty.
