Forums - Gaming - Unfortunately Dissapointed in Rock Band

Guitar hero is definitely harder for the guitar aspects. But yeah I think you only touched some of the earlier songs in the game. They do get harder.

If you are really into guitar and that's it then I would not bother with rock band.

If you want a collaborative experience go with rock band.

Taste in music is another thing. I personally enjoy rock bands song selection more but I can see why some people like GH3 better.

Green Grass and High Tides is supposed to be one of the very hardest according to the internet. I have not played it myself

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. Run to the Hills is pretty fucking crazy on guitar.

Wrote it down, youtubing now.

I mean it is no Dragonforce, but it is one of the harder songs on the game.

Yeah, it did look a lot better(harder) than I expected from the game after my initial run in with it. It's about mid level expert career on GH:3, looks like, dunno how the failure aspect works on it though.

I'll give it a shot tomorrow and unlock everything post here again. Thanks for getting my attitude turned around about it, cause I was having a little caniption after I played it a bit and was upset. Needless to say, I need to apologize to my brother, cause I roasted him pretty bad for buying it, lol, and used the Shinobi vs Mario example in front of everyone.

I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.

NO NO, NO NO NO.

I found this in my youtubage, here check it out. Haven't watched it yet myself, comparison between the two:

It will consume your soooooooouuuuuul. Nearly ten minutes long and solos that will make you wish you didn't have fingers.

You aren't trolling so I really don't care, but I am just curious why you have posted this same thing (and nothing else) in two different threads.  Just asking out of curiosity.

personally, i think rockband is far far better then guitar hero. i got to play with my family over christmas and it was a blast.

yes, the guitar parts are (on the whole) easier then guitar hero 3, but it's not really a game about one instrament. it's supposed to be a group based experience where everyone can have fun no matter what they're playing.

im not a guitar hero master (i can do about half the songs on hard) so the difficulty seemed just fine for a gamer like myself.

Run to the Hills is an amazing song, but as far as Iron Maiden goes, it's a bit light on the guitars.  That song would probably be awesome for vocals, though (but I may be wrong, as I haven't played it).
