Yes, but there isn't a flagship title that people could look and say "this is the game that made VR a success". Both the Wii and the Kinekt had their motion controll games (Wii Sports and Kinekt adventures), the zapper games had all  those light gun games... hell, even touchscreen-based gaming had Angry Birds.

I hope that stock was not in the dozens, otherwise it would seem that most of the sales were from vultures on eBay trying to make a quick buck.

No flagship titles, only some of the best selling video games in history?

Can't wait to play Dark Souls 3, Deus Ex Mankind Divided, Mafia 3, Mass Effect Andromeda etc. in VR.

Because you have the money now and may not have it in future due to other commitments. And purchasing it months in advance means you don't have to worry about in future, and 5 months later you've already forgotten about your loss of money. Then boom, it arrives.

Pre-ordering PS VR means that Sony can show those sales numbers to developers. These developers than have reason to develop for PS VR. If no one preorders PS VR -- then no one will develop for PS VR and the system will die.

This is a critical time for VR and you need to early adopt in order to help it grow.
