Pretty cheap for VC standards. I'd consider it, but my experience with N64 VC has been donkey balls, so it's not worth it.

I already own it for N64, but regardless I'll just wait for Zero.

What has been bad about your VC experience? I have never used it, so it's genuine curiosity that has me asking.

Anybody else out there prefer the SNES Starfox to this one? Especially using the "for it's time" criteria? The audio in Starfox 64 was a huge letdown for me, specifically the music. Very good game though!

The SNES game's controls pale in comparison and a couple of stages have a low framerate. You are absolutely right about the music though.

Yes, that's why I used the "for it's time" caveat. SF 64 has much better graphics. I haven't played either in a while, but have little doubt that the controls are superior in SF 64 as well.

Hmmm to get this or try to hunt down a good copy of Star Fox 3D? Darn it, if only the latest batch of Nintendo Selects had included Star Fox 64 3D >_

Zero is doomed now. No way it can compete with 64 at that price

oooh I'll have to get that.

Well, I own Ocarina of Time on Wii U VC, and for one, it has a very noticeable input lag. Secondly, control stick precision and feel do not translate well from the N64 to the Wii U. Makes stuff like aiming a bow and arrow difficult. I'm assuming it has to do with how the N64 did not have full analog control sticks, which makes it so that they have to adapt the full analog controls of the Wii U version to play well with it (something they clearly didn't bother with).

I did end up going through the whole game, but from now on I'll stick with the N64 version. So that I can actually play the slingshot minigames.

bet: lost

Sold. That's a nice way to introduce Star Fox Zero, so I guess I'll play it before Zero comes out.

Why are they promoting the older game when the new version is soon releasing? Do they want people to realize Zero is just 64 with lame graphics for it's time, forced motion controls, slow boring gyrowing, and no splitscreen multiplayer?

Dont need it cause I already got the original on N64. :^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^)

Very interesting. Now, what I would love to know is, from a technical standpoint, why this is the case? This isn't an issue with all VC games is it?
