Uncharted and the Last of Us seems to have inspired the direction of that movie. People love to act like Uncharted is nothing special, but on a cinematic and immersive level it is on another level.

Cool Beans. And for the record, Uncharted is something special.

Correction - people love to act like Uncharted is nothing special FOR VIDEO GAMES.

Too bad for them that the quality of action adventure TPS has only risen because of Uncharteds existence.

I definitely disagree with that.

No problem with that. It's good that a director of cinema understands that a particular game is closing the gap between cinema and gaming though. The definition of a blockbuster experience. :)

If you're going to do a selfie, at least go the full Kardashian and make it a nekked selfie.

OT, I like that the new gen directors are gaining some inspiration from story driven, cinematic games. Perhaps with this new wave of movie directors who have at least partly grown up on cinematic story-telling games we might have directors with both the enthusiasm AND the talent to finally produce good video game adaptations.

It is good that the franchise is recognised by the appropriate people for its achievements, even if I disagree with striving for a cinematic achievement in an interactive medium. Uncharted definitely deserves that recognition.

True. Funny enough, Hideo Kojima was a movie director who found his way in the gaming industry. His influence pushed action games forever. Uncharted is apart of that inevitable web thanks to games like Metal Gear Solid. This situation will make a household name out of Neil Druckmann.
