It is native 1080p, cuz the image is not upscaled. QB is not native cuz is a 720p image upscaled to 1080p so theres a degradation of quality. The order stays smooth high quality.
It takes genuine talent to see greatness in yourself despite your absence of genuine talent.

Just so we can clear up this confusion: The Order: 1886 will be presented at 1920x800 (which is the CINEMATIC aspect ratio of 2.40:1). At this aspect ratio, you would need a screen resolution of 2592x1080 to avoid the black bars. Here's why: The game renders an image of 1920x1080, just 280 horizontal lines are black. For comparisons sake, lets use Forza 5, a full 1080p game. Now if were to tape two black rectangles at the top and botton of our TV screens, you would now be seeing Forza 5 in 1920x800. The picture left displayed is still a 1080p image, the only difference is now only 800 horizontal lines of pixels are visible. Resolution is measured in pixel density, and The Ordermay have a display ratio of 1920x800, but keeps the same pixel density as a 1920x1080 resolution.
Furthermore, what The Order is doing, isn't much different than most Blu-Ray movies. When you watch a 1080p movie, nine out of ten times the movie is in widescreen. Which is the cinematic aspect ratio we talked about before. 2.40:1. The Order will be displaying the same as any 1080p widescreen Blu-Ray movie would. |
I believe Perfect Dark did something similar back on the N64. With th expansion pack in Perfect Dark was 640x480 full screen. Without the extra 4mb ram you could still play the game, however in a letterboxed widescreen format. With black bars at the top and bottom. The whole screen was still 640x480 but the game was made playable in a letterboxed widescreen format with 4mb ram instead of the expanded total of 8.
This game will be a marvel on PC, but not on the Xbox One. I don't really buy any games on my Xbox One expecting top tier graphics. Im playing it for the concept which is still great. To say its name in the same direction as Uncharted is bonkers. Sony will have other games that will push the console. As if Killzone and Infamous didnt already do that job.

Obviously I wasn't referring to PC. Hey if your getting Quantum Break on PC it would be cool to hear from you just how good QB looks. :) |
Nothing make Tomb Raider, looks like a Last Gen Tittle, not even Quantum Break, Uncharted, Star Wars Battlefront, Final Fantasy XV, only a Next gen tittle, will make it look like a Last gen tittle.

Looks good but 720p is too low. Regardless if it's fun to play or not is what really matters.

A "First look tech/performance analysis" will include a discussion on resolution, and minor technical issues. It's a Digital Foundry thread, we should all be quite accustomed to these by now.

Lol yes it. You don't know what native 1080p is.
Anyone notice that he is shooting through walls when standing behind it for cover?
