I never said it was an app made to not appeal to gamers.

No, you're not understanding what I'm saying. A forum is a place where you exclusively converse with people you don't know. Twitter and Miitomo are places where you socialize primarily with people you already know in real life. It's not the same thing at all. A forum is like a fan convention. Miitomo/twitter/Facebook/etc are a house party, at least in intent.

I know a lot of people I talk with forums on a daily basis, and have done so for a good 20 years. I use twitter (exclusively) and instagram (50/50) with people I do not know. In fact, I dont think I know anyone who actually uses twitter to socialize with his or her friends but rather to follow updates by interests.
And once again, people were saying forum isnt a social media. Which it by definition is. And that is what my gripe was from the beginning, then you turned it to something I wasnt even talking about. But obviously we're not going anywhere with this discussion so let's agree to disagree

Then what point were you trying to make?

"The question is simply whether or not Miitomo will be something a few of my gamer friends will install, or will it be something that a good chunk of people will use."
This. It won't simply be something a few of your gamer friends will install, because it was never designed to appeal to gamers first or at all. The 1m people who installed Miitomo aren't 1m gamers, they are 1m people familiar with the Wii brand, a specifically and sucessfully meant to target non-gamers. Mii's are not a gaming IP meant to appeal to gamers, so people downloading Miitomo, even initially, aren't going to be even mostly "gamers." The premise of the question is wrong. That was the point.

Ur really not making any sense, hes wondering about people he personally knows. Will it just be a couple of his fellow gamer friends or will a sizeable number of his non-gamer friends also play.

I don't use any of those except Facebook, and I only use Facebook as a party organizer.
I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

Basically this.

That's not how you worded it at all. The way you worded it was as if you were asking if its something that would only gamers would download or more people in general. Even if you only meant your own friends, though, my point still rings true. It's not a question at all. There's literally no reason it would be something only your gamer friends would use, its not a product marketed at all at gamers, so the premise of that question is wrong.

Considering i knew exactly what he meant, i would say he worded it fine. You dont know his friends so how can you answer for him? You have no idea if any of his non-gamer will download or play this on a semi-regular basis.
