So, who here has read Houseki no Kuni and can tell me how much shit from the manga they left out in the anime so far?

I don't know about left out but the anime is way behind the manga.

I'm not sure if the anime is going to hit the two biggest happenings of the manga at all.  "Shiro" is chapter 28, the manga is around chapter 62 now.

So it's going to be worth it anyway since I don't think there is going to be a second season.

Question. How can you get manga books ?

I don't know about foreign countries.

Hm...I use Amazon mostly, since I have Prime and most of the series I like are around $7/volume. I hear good things about RightStuf too...and they do deals a lot apparently. Listing some websites since I assume that's universal for wherever you are.

Some others here might have better options though...I'm still pretty new to collecting physical manga.

Haven't done weekly updates in a while...but holy crap, all my weekly stuff was amazing this week. Can't keep it to myself!

Shokugeki no Erina: THE QUEEN IS BACK

Holy crap I've been waiting for this for so long. Last time Erina had an actual fight was like...chapter 9 or something? Man she looks awesome. Finally casting aside the noble leader persona and acting like her old self. Absolutely awesome seeing her talk down to a senpai...can't wait to see how this fight plays out. Hopefully Erina not only wins, but critiques Mom's dish in her usual haughty fashion.

The rest of the chapter was fun, Polar Star dorks ganging up on Souma, rebuilding the cage they didn't even need (I swear the author is just mocking the existence of that cage now), Souma getting as hyped to see Erina fight as like the whole fanbase right now.

NEED A NEW CHAPTER NOW DX

My Hero Academia: The greatest adversary

Bakugou, Todoroki, and Serious Guy vs. An Army of Children. I'm liking this arc already. We needed some brevity after the last one.

The translations used for the air-headed girl were annoying, though she's cute so whatever. Will be interesting to see a softer side of Endeavor...it looks like he understands he's missing something All Might had.

One Piece: SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT

BIG MOM IS ON THE SHIP OH MY GOD NOOOO

Carrot kicking ass was cool, as was Bege's foodgasm. Forgot about Brook's running on water thing, I laughed when I saw that again.

The end of the chapter though...dammit this is way too soon. Is the Sunny doomed? Is Carrot doomed? No one else can be doomed right? RIGHT?

If Jinbe dies I'm killing Mike.

Neverland: Noooo D:

Ah those kids died after all. How will Emma react? That was pretty brutal even if they were minor characters.

Lewis...I'm guessing we'll be getting used to that name. I thought the demons had weird names, I wonder if Lewis is just a pseudonym he uses.

Also read last month's One Punch Man, and holy god that was long. 120 page chapter!

Still, even if it gets too serious for its own good sometimes, I love the artwork. Also Saitama and Genos' relationship is hilarious. I love how Genos takes every piece of lame advice and takes it way too close to heart.

I want my own Aharen-san to play with.

So the people that read "The promised Neverland".

Compare it to other manga's.

Not really sure how to answer this, since it's a lot more unique than anything I've ever read. The main cast of very young children contrasts with the brutally dark setting, so possibly something like Hunter x Hunter or Made in Abyss, but those comparisons are only surface deep. It's very mental, and spends a lot more time showing the characters preparing than taking action, so if that kinda thing annoys you in other manga, it might be a problem here.

It's not very long so far, so it couldn't hurt to try it out to see if it's your cup of tea. Seems to be really popular in Japan right now though, so I wouldn't surprised if we get an anime announced soon.

I finally have some free time on my hands, after what feels like months, to just kick back, relax and read some chapters. Boy that was a lot cover.

I'll just say that the last arc of MHA in a crazier place than I predicted and I was very satisfied with it. I think I may have mentioned this before, but THAT should be the arc that would make a good video game for the series. So far the current one is a very nice transition

One Piece Looking strong: Su Long, Super Big Mom, Luffy vs Katakuri. This arc has been getting better and better. I can't believe I was meh about it at some point.

The Promised Neverland has been as solid as ever

Also One Punch man's last chapter was a doosey.

But soooo many series ended this year its crazy :(

Magi ended a long while back

Jitsu Wa Watashi Wa some time ago

Mob Psycho 100 just ended the other day

Definitely looking forward to next year though.  Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays

Haru no Noroi has gotten off to an interesting start.

Right from the beginning, we find out that the younger sister, Haru, has died from cancer after a long battle.  She was a bright girl with a warm personality.  This breaks the heart of her older sister, Natsumi, who was fiercely devoted to her younger sister, especially as Natsumi was ostracized from the rest of the family.  Haru was Natsumi's world.

Also left behind is Haru's fiance, Tougo.  He is a son of a very rich and prestigious family who went along with an arranged marriage to Haru because he didn't really care one way or the other.  He's never really cared about much beyond following the path laid out for him by his family.  One thing that did pique his interest, however, was the odd and flighty Natsumi, even though she was not considered suitable by his mother compared to Haru--at least, until Haru's death.

Now they're pushed together, as Natsumi struggles to adjust to life without the only person she ever loved and they both deal with feelings of guilt.

Natumi's one request being that they visit the same places that Tougo took Haru.  Which can be pretty sad.

Hanakaku - The Last Girl Standing is pretty enjoyable so far (through chapter 6).  It's about a small, timid high school girl who wants to become stronger.  In the past, she failed to protect her friend from bullying and looked the other way with the excuse that she was too weak to make a difference.  However, all the martial arts clubs have turned her away because she lacked physical strength.  Then one day she is saved by a very pretty girl in the same year who also happens to be an MMA fanatic and an excellent fighter herself.  She brings the main character to her gym and pulls her into the world of women's MMA.

The other women at the gym are pretty interesting, too.

Attack On Titan Chapter 101

Holy shit what an action pact chapter this was. Zofia and Willy are both dead and Uda is dying. The Warhammer Titan has a sick design and power and she better not be not dead.

Eren "Do it now Mikasa!"

Me "NANI!"

Holy shit new Survey Corp uniforms and Mikasa's hair is shorter and in the second to last page we got a brief look at Jean and in the background 4 other SC members but its impossible to tell who they are but hope next chapter we see them.
