Haru no Noroi has gotten off to an interesting start.
Right from the beginning, we find out that the younger sister, Haru, has died from cancer after a long battle. She was a bright girl with a warm personality. This breaks the heart of her older sister, Natsumi, who was fiercely devoted to her younger sister, especially as Natsumi was ostracized from the rest of the family. Haru was Natsumi's world.
Also left behind is Haru's fiance, Tougo. He is a son of a very rich and prestigious family who went along with an arranged marriage to Haru because he didn't really care one way or the other. He's never really cared about much beyond following the path laid out for him by his family. One thing that did pique his interest, however, was the odd and flighty Natsumi, even though she was not considered suitable by his mother compared to Haru--at least, until Haru's death.
Now they're pushed together, as Natsumi struggles to adjust to life without the only person she ever loved and they both deal with feelings of guilt.

Natumi's one request being that they visit the same places that Tougo took Haru. Which can be pretty sad.
