So is Miitomo like a social network where you don't really socialize cause your miis do that instead?

Cause I am a bit confused about the "game" part of it based on the trailer

After side-loading it onto Android and messing around with it for a bit, it seems like a fun quirky app. Reminds me a bit of Tomodachi Life. I don't see myself using it extensively, but I'll definitely keep it on my phone to mess around with from time to time once it officially releases in the West.

It's not a game.  I don't think Nintendo has every described it as such.  They've called it an app.

Oh god that looks bad, nothing there looks fun. 

I didn't care for miitomo at first but after seeing that it gives points for "my nintendo" I'm gonna have to play it.

Yeah! i bet Nintendo will implement the achievements in their smartphone games now. And Google+ sounds a better social app.
