"This should not have been exposed"

rosti has followed up

"Alright, alright, I will provide you a brief elucidation. What the embodiment in the image is representative of I do not know, it may or may not be a prototype related to the project of interest, it may or may not be a final design to the consumer. What I do know is what I originally said, and that x distinguished excellencies/individuals have expressed indignation about this situation (and earlier events this year). I have full trust in my source. These leaks are unfortunate.

I have no intention to troll anyone or cause a commotion. My original post was primarily a way for me to express my thoughts about this. While it is of course nice to have something to discuss in termsof NX, I am hoping that future stories of this calibre house less harmful properties. I have faith in this clarification providing sufficient eligibility.:

gaf is strict on who is legit,  & this person has inside info. there also would be no penalty in  debunking the rumor (no harm if fake)  However with the crypic messages, rosti's incidentally confirming the leaks.  Not slick at all and pride kept Rosti from staying quiet.  These NDAs got devs blueballed lol they are desperate to talk.

Is that all that Rosti said!?

Not feeling it with this controller if real. Will need to see more of it like how the haptic touch screen buttons feel or if the grip will make it comfortable. Not sure if the mass market gamers would like this especially with the Nintendo stigma of being quirky with their controllers. The got a lot of guts to keep trying to use touch screens and dual monitors.

After 8 pages of forum members posting how bad the controller is and how much Nintendo is going to fail with it I can safely assume that the NX is going to be a big success. Thank you guys.

They reacted the same way with the gamepad, so be careful.

Back then the backlash was from the Sony sector. This time it's universal. It's safe, belive me.

Has this been posted? the autor of the famous "rayman in smash" fake leak calls it fake picture

Good enough for me.

Exactly...

I was thrown off by the "leak" part of your post; a patent isn't a leak, nor always representative of a final, or even real, product.

I think it's the prototype version of the handheld, but I do think it will have something in common with the console controller.

I'm thinking a Pro Controller but with a broader face like a PS4 controller with only two physical analog sticks, with the rest being haptic stuff. Not really a screen in the controller but it would be able to display the buttons to be what the game wants to display.

But I don't know though, that may sound too fanciful.

thats another thing, we still don't know if its going to be a Handheld, a home console, a hybrid combining both of what

theres was even arumor saying that the NX consist of 2 parts the handheld and the HC and that they will launch this year the handheld and the next one the console but thats hard to believe

It matches the talk we've heard from the maker of those screens, that Nintendo had ordered a screen shaped like a donut. It very much sounds like something like this, where the so called donut shape is for the analog sticks. I know it looks crazy but it will grow on you.

What I really believe is that there's stuff to this controller we're not seeing. I think there's something significant that replenishes the lack of face buttons, somekind of additional interface. That's the benefit of the doubt I'm giving it.

I assume that, if this controller is legit, it might use haptic feedback to simulate additional physical buttons (ie. using electrostatics to simulate the sensation of a physical button on a smooth screen):

This would pretty much allow the developer to customize their own button placement on the screen and it could add a new dimension to the world of force-feedback (ie. the buttons could take on a "prickly" feel when you take damage in game).  This is a concept that hasn't been done before and it could be Nintendo's "new concept" for the NX.

My iniitial impression after seeing this controller was really bad, but I guess I shouldn't be so negative.  The success of this thing will come down 100% on how Nintendo markets it and whether they can release a killer app on launch that perfectly accentuates the capabilities of this controller.  I still believe that if SMM had been a Wii U launch title, the Wii U Gamepad's fate would have been really different.  Nintendo needs a game like Super Mario 64 at launch that can show the world what can be done with this controller.  Anything less than this and I think this controller will likely flop the way the gamepad did.

Here's to hoping that Nintendo can show the world one more time why we fans love this company so much.
