I don't think so. I figure they will watch on the sidelines and sees how it plays out before committing to VR, and they would probably want to make sure the device is fun to use.

They dont have to do anything. Just let other devices work. And I assume they will do so if VR takes off (which seems like a good possibility).

I dunno if it would be that simple. I mean, what VR devices would they make compatible with their console, and how would they figure out controller schemes?

Considering Nintendo long have a habit of being a generation late to most 'trends'(no HDMI input on Wii, no region free Wii U, optical media starting with Gamecube etc etc) I think we can expect them to implement VR in the NX II... I kid, I kid :P

Honestly though I don't see them going with VR. Most of their 1st party titles wouldn't suit VR anyway and they just need to focus on establishing a great console with good hardware, killer launch line up(super important), some quality third party exclusives, solid internet and features.

Not for a while. They pretty much screwed themselves by having a second screen on the controller.

I dont think this is right..

Luigi manson would be insane perfect for VR.. mayby the most perfect.. BUT..

Mariokart.. zelda.. splatoon.. X.. waverace.. F zero.. Nintendendogs.. brindtraining.. marioparty.. wii fit.. and so are all also perfect for VR..

Mario 2d/3d (in VR that would be move "straight or free") is also.. I bet alot would like to be in the mushroom kingdom.. and I believe it would give that "mario 64 experince" (you know.. the felling we got first time we saw that game)

Ontop of that Nintendo is proberly the game company with the most old games that could be made into VR.. easy money..

And Nintendo has "knowed" VR in many years.. I bet they have alot of projekt and iddeas they saved becourse they could see them work better in VR.

I feel like they probably want but won't do it because they are like the typical person that always wants to go against the mass and feel special

They don't have attention? Yet the internet spends all day talking about them....

Would prefer not, especially at this time

Nintendo doesn't even follow competitors in terms of power, so I don't think they will
