Why are people trying to turn this thread into a Dr Phil kinda thing?

Talking about relationships and shit LOL

If you are ashamed by your hobbies in front of your partner, i feel sorry for you!

I'm sorry but where did you get that anyone was ashamed of a hobby? Do you live with your wife or girlfriend? Can you see yourself ignore her for several hours on a week-end or something?

I dont share your point of view, there is time for everything.

How do you play games now? Does she watch you play?
I play games in a different room, whether I wear a headset won't make any difference. I won't be using the headphones though, don't use them now either. I can hear through walls (and the baby monitor) can't see through them :p

That's when a woman needs a hobby.

Having a hobby does not mean that someone wants to be anti-social.

If you can't enjoy a video game or read a book for 3 to 5 hours (not everyday) without her wanting/needing attention, she needs a hobby of her own. Especially if you work or live with her.

That's too much in my opinion, so I'll probably just wait until the price is better and more games are available. But I'm certainly interested on it.

Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won

Not only that, but how many people really play games for 3-5 hours at a time without stopping to eat or going to the bathroom or something?

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

She does her own stuff like watch TV shows or read while I'm playing but we are still able to talk or quickly interrupt our activities for whatever reason. An example - she's helping her nephew with some maths problem via Skype. She can easily ask me to come over if she wants to confirm something. How does that work with VR?

But what you're saying is that you'll forgo the complete VR experience (headphones) to not be completely cut out from your family. You cannot afford to be completely immersed especially with a baby.

So, you don't live with your gf I presume?

You only stop gaming to eat or go to the bathroom? Nice. That's some quality time spent with your family. Just curious, how many hours of gaming do you get in a week?

IM SO IN!!!

I played an Oculus Rift demo of a roller coaster that looked really bad graphically and it wasnt great at all, (the oculus rift was also one of the earlier versions, not close to being the final one) however that thing despite all of that still gave me vertigo, and if that was able to make me feel like that, then im on board for a finish vr product.

IM REALLY EXCITED TO PLAY THIS GAME ON VR

(if the video doesnt show up, im talking about Trackmania Turbo which seems like a huge adrenaline rush, just the type of game i want on VR).

nop, unless i try it in a mall and blows my mind enough to spend 400 euros for a tool, but unlikely
