I'm sorry but where did you get that anyone was ashamed of a hobby? Do you live with your wife or girlfriend? Can you see yourself ignore her for several hours on a week-end or something?

I dont share your point of view, there is time for everything.

Your life, your opinion. I just don't want to tell my wife that during these hours I don't want to hear from you. Or that you'll only be able to talk to me when I'm taking a break to pee.

IM SO IN!!!

I played an Oculus Rift demo of a roller coaster that looked really bad graphically and it wasnt great at all, (the oculus rift was also one of the earlier versions, not close to being the final one) however that thing despite all of that still gave me vertigo, and if that was able to make me feel like that, then im on board for a finish vr product.

IM REALLY EXCITED TO PLAY THIS GAME ON VR

(if the video doesnt show up, im talking about Trackmania Turbo which seems like a huge adrenaline rush, just the type of game i want on VR).

Mmmm...Okay, if this is really like this, i would like to try it, i'm kinda curious about it.

Predictions for end of 2014 HW sales:

 PS4: 17m   XB1: 10m    WiiU: 10m   Vita: 10m

Nope i don't trust Sony enough to believe this is something they will stick with.
I will wait 2 years after release and see what they are doing with it.

I Love Playstation, but my uncle works at Nintendo.

No, VR still isn't quite baked yet, maybe in 5 years when we are a few more generations advanced and they have fixed resolution and FOV as well as worked more on eye strain issues. Also at that price I think it is going to struggle, many people struggle to afford a console let alone a $400 accessory.

Not only that, but how many people really play games for 3-5 hours at a time without stopping to eat or going to the bathroom or something?

You only stop gaming to eat or go to the bathroom? Nice. That's some quality time spent with your family. Just curious, how many hours of gaming do you get in a week?

How many hours a week? I don't know...maybe...10? Though most of my gaming probably takes place between like...10PM and 1 AM, but that's just me. But even when I play during the day, it's for like...an hour or two at a time.

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

Maybe for now. Going to wait for further reviews and see what support is out at launch. Already have 2 move controllers ready.

PS4/PS3/PC/3DS Owner (Will buy a Switch when mainline Pokemon game is released)

Nah...I don't want to spend that kind of money for virtual reality.

Im not sold, I've asked my gf if shes interested in it since shes a hardcore gamer. If she wants it then i'll probably bite

If you can't enjoy a video game or read a book for 3 to 5 hours (not everyday) without her wanting/needing attention, she needs a hobby of her own. Especially if you work or live with her.

So, you don't live with your gf I presume?

No but I have with other girlfriends. For me, it helps the relationship a great deal if a girlfriend has a least one hobby she can do at the house like reading, painting or playing video games w/o me, etc. It gives us enough alone time to miss eachother even when we're around eachother all the time. I don't need that much time alone everyday or every other day but it helps to have some hobbies that don't involve the SO. Personally, I can't stand clingy women that want my undivided attention all the time when I'm around her.

I don't know to be honest but I personally can do that with a new game that I'm into. I'll usually take food, bathroom, netflix or anime breaks.
