I blame Wii Fit

In France, pre-order is 68.90€ at ScoreGames (a big french retailer) for both Xbox 360 and PS3.
64.99€ on amazon.fr for both version.

I don't understand why some UK retailers do this.

well i doubt this is sony's doing since they arn't producing or developing this game i think the DMC thing was what the retailers fault? could explain why amazon was selling GTA4 more...hmm lol

Why do so many people rush to accuse Sony when this happens? They aren't developing or publishing the game - the price isn't set by them for a game like this.

Also, its clearly down to individual retailers (based on a RRP) as the already pretty broad range of prices shows.

What people need to do is buy where prices are equal (say Amazon) as that's the only way to send a message to those such as Whs who are charging more for PS3 (or 360 for those cases where its reversed).

Here in Spain the stores are taking preorders at the same price .

F) PS3 games are generally more expensive because the BR disc costs more to produce than DVD.

I thought this was the main reason nearly all PS3 games are more expensive, but I may be completely wrong.

^^ It can´t be that much more in mass production... else other games would cost more as well...

This is far from an outrage but since PS3 games in general cost more than 360 or Wii games this would slowly start to piss me off if I was a PS3 owner... 

Meh. How many people have both a 360 and PS3?  It's no big deal.

It won't "kill" the PS3 version.  At best a few people may decide to go 360 instead... which... if you own both is the better choice anyway do to the possible useful downloadble content.  

It's not like this is the first time it's been the case... and likely won't be the last.

This RUMOR has been disbanded already. The distributor website for the game put up suggested retail price at 49.99 euros for the game on BOTH Consoles. No point arguing about it. That retailer's just being a retard. Oh and for all those "I'm not surprised" this is would only be the second time somthing like this has happened (DMC4 is 10 dollars more on the ps3). Cost of development is NOT much higher on the ps3, developers are getting the hang of it. You fanboys need to chill.
