I'm against these copy paste Tales of games but I enjoy them anyway. I think the Namco team needs more money, I agree with wright on that.

I'm still going to buy them. (and platinum them)

Their last hiatus was Symphonia to Vesperia/Vesperia to Graces, and it was well warranted.

But they clearly see the money in annual franchises much like Ubisoft, so they wont stop anytime soon.

These games tend to go in the bargain bins here (when I grab them) although Zestiria is still full price with more signs of stock discontinuation rather than price reductions which concerns me.

Yep, Tales of definitely needs a break imo.

I haven't played Zesteria or Xillia 2 yet, but I really enjoyed Xillia so I'm still interested in these games.. haven't gotten stale yet :p

[3DS] Winter Playtimes [Wii U]

It's probably the series that I am the most burnt out on. I felt like I was playing the same game, with a similar cast, fighting for a similar, cliched plot, with just a slightly modified battle system. This upsets me, since the series has what is arguably my favorite JRPG battle system. Each game plays really, really well, IMO.

Currently, what I really want is a localized version of Tales of Rebirth.

I think a break would be nice.

So far I have only played abyss (haven't finish it), then I'll try symphonia. Not very familiar with the series but based on the comments it seems like a break is a good idea.

I agree, it almost feels like a yearly franchise at this point.

Yeah, I've played Phantasia all the way to Xillia. Never beat Xillia due to feeling exhausted of the franchise and haven't bought any other.
