Forums - Nintendo - Twilight Princess HD Nearly Had Wii Remote Controls

If it did not have proper gamepad usage, that would be annoying :/

[3DS] Winter Playtimes [Wii U]

The motion controls on TP were terrible so they made a good decision.

I guess this is an unpopular opinion, but I actually wish they had kept the motion controls as an option. For me, I'll always associate TP with the Wii Remote/Nunchuck gameplay and I loved it. It's kind of weird playing with traditional controls, but it's still tons of fun, so I'm not gonna complain too much.

I would say it is definitely an unpopular opinion.  Hell, the motion controls are the only reason why Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword are two Zelda games I never finished.

Good. Nintendo should use that word "nearly" more often.

Good. The GameCube version was superior than the Wii one.

Proud to be the first cool Nintendo fan ever

Number ONE Zelda fan in the Universe

DKCTF didn't move consoles

Prediction: No Zelda HD for Wii U, quietly moved to the succesor

Predictions for Nintendo NX and Mobile

Don't care, I certainly wouldn't have used them, but it could have been another control option for those who wanted it. Not say as many would have used it, as the only way you can play the version of the game that goes with that scheme is by having double damage and no heart drops.

bet: lost

I would have liked to have the option.
I only played the Gamecube version, so it would have been nice to try the motion controls.
But, I can live without.

Did people even like the motion controls in TP..?

I wish it had the option. I actually liked using the motion controls more than the GameCube controller.
