Their games usually look better and up until release. I wouldn't worry :P

Lol this is the opposite to how Ubisoft and CD projekt red do it :P

Better than bethesda games, they look like shit when they show them for the first time and they still look like shit when they release them. Unless you have a pc and can put mods in there that people made to fix it.

I won't disagree with that!

I'm leaving registered that I am asking for GAMEPLAY (not cutscene) footage that properly shows the characters (drake in particularly) front part. NO trolling or baiting and that is the truth. It's just unfortunate that such footage apparently doesn't exist yet and probably won't untill the game releases.

You do realize that this is an over the shoulder third person shooter right? During the gameplay they showed, they are playing from that perspective.   They closet thing you will get is the shoot out in the town where he takes cover behind the pillars. Doing that moment, you can see his face. I hope this helps.

I haven't complained about that in any moment, I'm just pointing that means the front of in game models haven't been shown. when drake takes cover, the camera is distant. It will be very simple to solve the problem by moving the character towards a wall untill the camera shows his face up close. Basic stuff for most third person 3d games.

Naughty Dog does not disappoint.

Their games always find a way to be played multiple times. I can't play them just once. This will keep the tradition alive, for sure.

For the thread - Drake. From the front. In-game character. Gameplay. 3rd person view. 2nd vid in my vids above.

"We're actually doing real-time cutscenes in Uncharted 4, which is a new step for us. You're not going to see those black bars that we used to have in between gameplay and cutscenes. That's going to let us be so much more expressive and really get that seamless-ness between the storytelling and the gameplay. Which we already do very well, but it's going to allow us to take it to that next level."

"That super great-looking Nathan Drake that's in the cutscenes--that's going to be the guy you have the whole time. The lighting model is nearly identical. All of that emotion you get across in the cutscenes, you'll have in gameplay all the time."

Was that so hard?

Just realizing that I missed this. :)

For some more clarity on the "front part of Drake" talk:

Yeppp.....all gameplay, in-game. Drake from the front, back, North, South, East, West, High, Low, Top, and Bottom.

All of that is from a distance and quick, can't see his face properly. It's not like the cutscenes where we can take a good look at his face and at close.

A good view can be achieved by turning and moving  the character towards the camera. Something like this but a little closer:

Now that's an example of a fully visible ingame model of a character.

Upgrade? It just looks different, not necessarily better.
