Its a shame so many devs are obsessed with realism, we could be seeing far more impressive visuals if they explored different art styles.

Driving games are very different kind of beast compared to the average adventure/action/RPG/FPS title. They will always be graphical showstoppers because they don't deal the same amount of ai, animations and actual explorable areas.
In any case I'm obviously not saying realistic games can't look amazing. Its just too frequently the default IMO and big developers should be exploring more art styles then they currently are.

There are always going to be people who downplay other games on other platforms all the time and then of course there will also be people who don't share the same vision or opinions as others.

Been to long without a 3D platformer (mario 3D world, kinda is one, I guess... but apart from that cant really think of any atm).
They are grossly under represented in the gameing market right now.

Im guessing its much much cheaper to make the 2D ones.
Maybe they just dont have any faith in their ability to recoup the costs.
Which just makes the fact that sony have done a Ratchet & Clank all that much more awesome.
Yooka laylee should add another one to the mix.
