Maybe a 3rd party guitar will work with both games (GH3 & RB)? Either way, this news sucks. EA is making this a very weak version of Rock Band because they are trying to make some easy money.

If the 5 extra songs are any good and a 3rd party guitar works for both games; then, I'll consider getting this instead of GH4. However, I am pretty sure GH4 will have DLC on Wii so even then it will likely be better.

Anyone else notice how Rock Band comes out right before Aerosmith Edition of GH?

1. The Wii version will have no downloadable content=Unacceptable

2. The Wii version will have no online=Doubly unacceptable

3. The Wii version will be similiar to the PS2 version which was developed by Pi Studios, codevelopers of Call of Duty 3. If that doesn't make you at least slightly regurgiatate at the thought then you have a great tolerance for bad news

4. World Tour Mode will be like the PS2 version, which was basically stripped down to nothing.

5. Besides being practically identical to the PS2 version, the Wii version will cost $10 more, the same price as the REAL Rock Band for PS3 and 360.

Anyone for is willing to spend $170(the price of 3 1/2 Wii games) on a much inferior version of Rock Band is a chump. Fuck EA and MTV for porting the PS2 version and fuck Nintendo for not getting their online together.

From instinct, I think it will flop.

A PS2 port released months after the holiday season and costs almost as much as the system itself?

I agree, this is a bunch of crap.  And let's not forget: 6) Probably not compatible with the GH3 Wii guitar based on the instruments not using the Wiimote.  WTF, EA.  This is absolutely pathetic, and I'm sure they're going to use underwhelming sales as a reason to continue putting zero effort into their future Wii games.  Activision had GH3 working online four months ago, and they will have downloadable content when WiiWare releases.

I hope Harmonix is happy with the results of their sellout.  This is the first time I've been seriously disappointed by something like this.
