Forums - Nintendo - Miyamoto explains the changes made to Starfox since E3

I cannot for the life of me understand how they've spent all that time and NOT added the multiplayer in yet. Like, come on. The co-op seems cool and that's nice and all but for the love of all that is Star Fox, if you're going to rehash 64 in the 8th generation and allegedly make the gameplay both more challenging AND more fun, make an online multiplayer mode. Guard is even a nice touch that forces me to buy the game since I'm a collector, but this, as a Star Fox game, cannot be treated as marquee in Nintendo's lineup at full retail price if they're going to exclude some kind of meaningful online mode.

You should check out my YouTube channel, The Golden Bolt!  I review all types of video games, both classic and modern, and I also give short flyover reviews of the free games each month on PlayStation Plus to tell you if they're worth downloading.  After all, the games may be free, but your time is valuable!

But nobody did. For Colour Splash and Federation Force they did, but not for Starfox.

Almost every single reaction I have seen to Colour Splash has been overwhelmingly negative, even more so than the initial reaction to Starfox Zero.

Right, so its one vs nobody. That's not a big difference at all. The only reactions I've seen is slight disappointment and universal praise that it looks great. People still bash SF0 for how it looks and plays. The comparison isn't even remotely close.

I think the biggest difference for paper mario compared to star fox is that star fox had a demo to play for the press and it was getting a lot of negative press since people didn't like it. Paper mario reaction has been some fans whining but no bad press yet. We will have to see when the press gets to demo it. Another issue is the wii u is gone after 2016. Nintendo ain't gonna delay it to 2017 when wii u has been replaced. For metriod., really have no idea why the game has not had a art style change.i guess ignorance at its best.

No, it probably cost a lot of time and money to make those assets, and would cost a lot more to replace literally everything with higher fidelity ones. It's not ignorance. It's the reality of things.

Seems good.
I´m ok with the delay because Xenoblade Chronicles X is tooking too much of my gaming time right now, so I can wait

Seems like they used their time effectively, looking forward to the final result! :)

Nah, I still reckon Starfox was better recieved than Colour Splash. There was disappointment when Stasrfox was revealed, but there were still quite a few saying it still looked interesting. On the other hand, Colour Splash has been met with almost universal hatred.
