Forums - Nintendo - my ideal/prediction for Nintendo at E3 this year.

How would you feel if this is Nintendo's E3?

I've been thinking about what Nintendo will do at this years E3 and here's my idea of how they should do it cause if they do something like this i feel like they will be the key talking point all through out E3.

Sunday June 12: Just like E3 2015 they do a Nintendo World Champonship and just like the last time have the contestants mostly play Wii U and 3DS that already out but for the final round end the show with a bang by having the reveal the first NX being the next ED Tokyo 3D Mario and the reveal of the NX controller leading into the final round where the constants must finished the a few levels from the game in order to win. This i feel will them be the talk of the night and early Monday morning even more so then talking about Bethesda (unless if they've working on Elder Scrolls 6 along side Fallout 4 this whole time and annouced at their conference)

Monday June 13: Since EA won't be having their usually press conference at that time i think Nintendo should try and have one around that the time EA usually have theirs. This conference will be the huge reveal for the NX with specs, concept, features and showing off the 3rd party support for the system but little of Nintendo publish games here. The second to last thing reveal will be the price of both the console and handheld versions of the system (being 400 and 250 each). But it will end with Reggie saying "here's a game that be out on launch for the NX but also something that Wii U owners can as well play are already excited for" its the first offcial trailer for Zelda U with the reveal of the subtitle and ending with the release of October 21st for Wii U and November 18th for the NX and the conference will end with Reggie saying "Look forward to a live gameplay demo for both versions of the game at Nintendo treehouse live at 11:00AM tomorrow immedately after our digital event"

Tuesday June 14: A Nintendo digital event this is purely to annouce Nintendo publish games for the system like a Smash 4 port, Pikmin 4, Retro's new game, and so on.  After it ends it will be immedately by a treehouse stream like the last couple of E3's like i said eariler we will get our best look at Zedla here.

I feel like this year's Nintendo World Championship should be for more than people in the US. It's called the "World" Championship, for god's sake.

I think it would be a mistake to have only 3rd party (except for Zelda at least) at the NX reveal conference. Even if NX has plenty of 3rd party support very little, if any, of it will be exclusive meaning we'll probably already know about most of the games they are showing. Even if it's some big new reveal then it would probably be multiplat anyway so it's still not really a big deal. For me the console makers E3 conferences should be mostly about 1st party stuff. Dump all the 3rd party stuff in a teaser reel or something at the end and just focus on 1st party.

I agree, they should balance things and show similar amounts of third and first party games. If anything, they need to show exciting and fresh big games that are exclusive to the system, like a new 3D Mario or new IP.

Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won

tag for later.

I don't think Nintendo can feasibly do this.

I don't think Nintendo should have a press conference, but if they did, I think they should be doing what EA has done and have their own separate thing. They don't need to be at E3 anymore. Have it at a different venue nearby and allow everyone to have access to it, not just journalists. They should be in 100% control of everything here.

I definitely think they should do something like they did last year with the World Championships. It's a fantastic way to grab attention from the other two, especially since they are always last. I think it was on Sunday last year. They should either have it the same day this year or have it on that Monday so they can take mindshare away from Sony and Microsoft before that big NX reveal on Tuesday.

As for predictions, I only have one. There are rumors that Beyond Good and Evil 2 will be exclusive to the NX. I believe it. There is also reason to believe that Retro Studios isn't working on Metroid, be on an original IP of their own. If this is true, I'm sure it will be a western-style game with good production values. All this is to say that I think the NX will focus a lot on appealing to the mainstream audience of the west. So what is my prediction?

I think that Mass Effect Andromeda is also coming to the NX, and I think that Nintendo will announce this at E3, where it will be revealed that they have obtained exclusive marketing rights to the game, likely with early access to DLC or something like that. That would be a huge get if true.

The world championship was amazing, hopefully thye do it again this year. As for the conference they better show some good first and third partt games for the NX.

I don't think splitting it's presence at E3 into multiple days would be beneficial, and it would force them to have enough content to fill those three events... which is unlikely (they barely have content for one conference, imagine three!). And not attending E3 is an even worse idea, as E3 is where all the media will be.

My idea isn't much better, to be honest, but here it is:

+Sunday: Make the World Championship as usual, but finish it with the teaser a new game that will be for NX, to build hype.

+Monday: Nothing.

+Tuesday: Make a mix of Direct and conference. Invite the press to the Kodak Theatre and show them a Direct projected to a huge cinema screen. We, from out homes, will see the Direct as always with the benefit of being able to see our own regional Direct as usual. The Direct will revolve around Wii U and 3DS.

At the end of the Direct, the stream will change to the Kodak Theatre where Reggie and Kimishima will go on stage and NX will be revealed with some images projected to the screen and one or two tech demos (like the bird one from the Wii U). The launch date and price will be revealed, followed by trailers of games available during the "launch window".

After that, the cinema screen will be removed and (at least) a dozen demo stations will appear behind it. The press will be able to try them right there while we get directed to the Treehouse stream where we'll get "hands on" experience with not only the new device, but also the Wii U and 3DS games.

Oh, and the info about the new account system and how it will work will be revealed during the rest of E3.
