Forums - Gaming - X-box One Elite at E3?

It would be a bad move by MS, it like giving a slap to the 19 million person who purchase the X1 already.

Has for me i wouldnt put a extra dime on the X1 ( i own it now and wont paid for a other one).

Whoa, whoa, whoa... its gotta be north of 20 million at this point.

And again, what's most important is all the games still function on the original hardware. I don't feel ripped off by the existence of New 3DS. Instead, I feel Nintendo needs to give me a good reason to upgrade.

What good is that competitive wise if they're still lacking in the game department? Fix that first then I see a good reason to release an "XB1 Elite"

Xbox is lacking games? huh, what have I been playing these past 2 years then....

They can tempt me if they put a 4k blu-ray player in there, as that is on my to buy list. Those only very recently came out and cost $400, so it would be unlikely. Plus there is nothing in it for MS, they're much more interested in streaming. But sure, if I can have an XBox One built into a 4k blu-ray player for the same price, I'll bite.

My guess for a XBox One Elite is a bigger hdd perhaps even 2tb ssd/hdd hybrid. Yet nothing that would effect games beyond a bit less pop up and better load times from the faster hdd.

More likely is a cheaper version without optical drive, smaller, perhaps even with the power adapter inside. Nice cheap to produce mass market device with keyboard/mouse support running windows 10 UWP. The only box you need when you go to college, windows productivity software will work on it and synch with your windows phone etc.

I don't know where you live, but we sell a 4k Blu-ray player at work that's $180 and is on sale pretty often for $100. It's still pretty expensive considering how rare 4k movies are, but it's certainly not $400.

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

Only exclusives count for real games.

If you work there you should know those are 4K streaming and 4K upscaling players, they do not play 4K blu-rays, that have only come out this month. It's a nother marketing cluster fuck waiting to happen. HD ready all over again.

Samsung BD-J6300 4K 3D Smart Blu-ray Disc Player $149
3D Smart Blu-ray disc player with 4K UHD upscaling capabilities

Is not the same as

Samsung UBD-K8500 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray Disc Player $399
4K/UHD Blu-ray Playback via HDMI

That's the first 4K blu-ray player that has been released in the West and $400 is a very good introduction price, they started at $3300 in Japan! http://www.digitaltrends.com/home-theater/panasonic-4k-uhd-bluray-player-available-japan-november/

Even Phil has denounced this claim.

I still can't believe that no one here is actually talking about the technical aspects of this theory. At least this gen. If they were, they won't be having this conversation.

Ah well, ignorance is bliss I guess.

Literally.

Only exclusives count for real games.

Only physical AAA exclusives with metascores higher than 85 count for real games. ;)
