Forums - Nintendo - Previews for Star Fox Zero are here, and it's looking great

Glad Nintendo bent over backwards for the few core fans it has left in the star fox franchise instead of try and grow the franchise in a boulder direction for a new generation of gamer who no doubt is looking at the PS4 shelf and wondering why their parent is tormenting them with a Nintendo console.

I can't even tell if you're being sarcastic here or not.

i'm on the fence. the old Nintendo fan tells me great, the logic in me tells me they should grow it to meet 2016 standards for a new gen consumer, even make a little cartoon series on it to appeal to kids and teens. They could become more mainstream iconic characters for Nintendo similar to Mario and Pokemon.

ie similar level of Sym-Bionic Titan. TRON Uprising  but with Nintendo's magic added to it.

The reason why I think this will work because every main character story based game in recent years is post apocaliptic events mainly zombies or war with real characters.

Time to bring back some fury made up animals into the spotlgiht for something different lol

Cant wait for the moment when critics and people realize this is actually a good game, is gonna be a hit in the face to all the people with big mouths that have been saying for months that this would be an horrible aberration and a complete disaster.

This is the case for most nintendo games. Just watch Paper Mario Color Splash getting high scores.

This pretty much.

I loved this game from the moment it was revealed... heck, even before it was revealed. Been defending it from mindless critics "omg motion controls omg looks like N64" ever since. I know it's going to be great and it's going to be awesome to see everyone shutting their mouths after it releases just like happened with Splatoon.

I just want to give both of you a big hug right now! mZuzek, I remember the thread you made a couple of years ago when we were jonesing for a brand new SF in the style of the SNES and N64 games, and now we are finally getting exactly that. And I do mean finally. TWO FREAKING DECADES! Unfortunately, there are no shortage of stubborn, ostrich-necked imbeciles online who'd rather stick their head in the sand than admit that the game looks much better than it did at E3 one year ago, but if they hate, then let them hate and watch the money pile up. I'll be enjoying my game.

I got SF64 along with my N64 for my birthday 18 years ago, and I'll be getting SF0 for my birthday next month. :)

i am not even a starfox fan (only played the n64 remade on 3ds) but i will definitely get this.

sry for my bad english - it is not my 1st language

Screw the idiots who complained as well. People who judge a game's quality based on E3 trailers only really need to rethink themselves.

Only way you can actually judge a game is when you get the final copy. A company do a lot in a matter of a few months

12/22/2016- Made a bet with Ganoncrotch that the first 6 months of 2017 will be worse than 2016. A poll will be made to determine the winner. Loser has to take a picture of them imitating their profile picture.

Young whippersnapper, I got Starfox SNES for Christmas 23 years ago. Get off my lawn and take your fancy-pants walkman gizmo with ya. :P

Graphically the game looks last decade, just a severe lack of details in the environments.
The gameplay is what I am looking at though... And it seems to tick the boxes for me, seems like they are staying true to good ole' Lylat Wars and Star Fox.

Has an NX release been confirmed yet?

Alright, let me just say that I can usually say a lot of good things about these particular subjects like this. Heck, I have a ton of faith in Metroid Prime FF.

But I have absolutely no faith in Color Splash.

Hasn't even been rumored, let alone confirmed.
