It's very important to note the alleged title of this game. "Beyond Good and Evil: The Prejudices of Philosophers."
Not Beyond Good and Evil 2: Subtitle. Again, with how different this game looks from the original, it may as well be a reboot, even if it does pick up from where the original left off. This is good, because marketing this title as it's own new thing that you don't need to play the original to enjoy, especially when it probably looks and plays very differently, gives it a chance to actually be a smash hit instead of another cult classic.
That being said, the last time I saw gameplay of it, it looked like an Assassin's Creed game, so I'm not personally excited to actually play it myself, but that will do wonders for how it will be excepted in the mainstream.
