The trade in deal is also in affect for ps4 |
Really? All I see on the front page is the Xbox One deal. If there is a PS4 deal, they must be making it low key.

I walked in there last weekend and there was a poster for both systems talking about the trade in credit.

"Xbox One is the only system with every top ten best-selling console game from 2015." Actually, not according to the NPD. The top 10 best-selling games of the year were all multi-platform and were available on both the PS4 and XBO. The top 10 games of 2015 were: Of course, that's just the U.S., but since the U.S. generates the majority of the Xbox One's global sales it's highly improbable that global software sales would tell a different story. The only plausible explanation is that MS is counting only titles released in 2015, which would disqualify GTAV, Minecraft, and CoD:AW. In that case Halo 5 would probably break the top 10 (though past main series Halo games ranked in the top 3 in their respective years; Halo 5's sales were good in absolute terms, but relative to past entries it was a massive decline). |
I believe that'a the case, as i seem to recall some prior piece of Microsoft PR (might have been an NPD statement, or something,) said the same thing, only with much more precise language. I believe it was for December NPD, and the wording back then was; "Xbox One is the best place for gamers and the only console that has all top 10 best-selling titles of this generation that launched in 2015." It would appear that they've decided their new phrasing here is both close enough to be technically correct, while ambiguous enough so they can get across the most positive interpretation possible.
And I agree; spin is a part of all companies to try and minimize the not-so-stellar, and emphasize the positive, but Microsoft does seem to be have been working overtime when it comes to how they phrase their statements. Although to be fair, Sony's in a position where they can just say 'Yeah, we sold more consoles and more software this month, so... yay us!' so I don't think they're necessarily showing a lack of capacity to be just as spin-y, just a lack of necessity.

The PS5 Exists.
Well the gears bundle is being sold by someone else but fulfilled by Amazon. That'll keep em a float in the list

Do you think there is going to be a PS4K and a XB4K as well?

I don't give rumors much credit. Most of them turn out to be bogus. The PS4K could simply be conjecture. If it does exist, I don't think it'll be a full spec upgrade. It'll most likely just be a PS4 with support for 4K Blu-ray movies. Splitting the market with a spec upgrade just seems like an incredibly bad idea. |
I really hope you're right.
And I agree with GribbleGrunger. The xbox sales are naturally slugging, the PS4 sales are naturally rising. All the PSVR buzz will do nothing but damage the xbox this year. It has nothing stand out at all that rivals PSVR and this is the kind of product that will move systems come Christmas.

When were that many SCE (SIE now, I hate that stupid name, SCE was perfect) games that high on the chart before?
I think never, not even during PS3, at least not new releases, maybe with deep discounts for old games something similar happened but not with new games, I think.

I Think that people aren't dumb enought to believe in those Rumors, Sony, would cut their own PS4 Sales, and would lose much money with a PS4K, but would not lose money with a PS4 Slim, i still think that is a Slim Version.
And is really impressive for Uncharted 4, is more than 1 Month away from Release and already is self-mantaining on the Top 30-20.
Does anyone remember when the last time Wii U hardware was in the top100 of amazon?
