Forums - Nintendo - Potential Zelda Wii U Buyers - what lack of features would make you skip the game?

The real question for me is, which version of the game will be available sooner?
At this point, I don´t care if the game runs at 60fps or 30fps or if its 720p/1080p I just want to play it.
If the wii u version is released sooner I´ll buy it, if the NX version is released 6-12 months later I will buy it again if it has better visuals.

No motion controls means no interest from me.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

The December 2014 gameplay demo showed motion controls for aiming a la Splatoon/Wind Waker HD.

This is a weird question, because it's highly improbable that any of these things will be lacking from Zelda Wii U. I think the NX will have better AA, and may run at 60fps, but that's it. Zelda Wii U isn't texture demanding because so much of it is cel-shaded, but I'm sure that Zelda NX will have better textures, again, not that it matters.

The NX version might have small features specific to the NX we don't know about yet, but they will likely be tiny social things related to new NX platform features like achievements or something. Nothing as drastic as a smaller game world. I'm 100% sure the NX is keeping its second screen, so that feature is staying too.

All that being said, if I'm right about Zelda NX running at 60fps, I'm skipping Zelda U.

I suspect a resolution gap will be in order to, with 720p on Wii U and 1080p on NX. Kind of like TLOU on PS3 vs PS4.

Not that it bothers me, 720p looks fine in my book.

Oh right, I forgot about that. 1080p, as well. I'm the same as you, though. 720p is fine to me as well. 60fps is what would make me jump ship, potentially.
