I'd say Gen 3 is the dark horse since it forced everyone to start over, that's even worse. If I ever had to throwaway the thousands of hours I've put into these games, I'd probably just quit! Thank goodness for Pokemon Bank!

Yes. I was thinking hoenn too. All there is now is gold/silver and crystal and it'll all be connected. Maybe they'll do it on 25th year anniversary!

In terms of overall quality and for its times too I guess. Bw2 is the best with HGSS close 2nd. After that it's anybody opinions. But those 2 are definitely top notch pokémon games

If they push the 3ds hardware and give us a non top view 3d world (like the gamecube pokemon titles), I can see many people jumping in. There are many other factors, of course.
