yes there have been so many people suggesting this, and you might think its ridiculous to find another thread discussing this, but i just came to the realization that Pokemon Z has to still be a future game- let me explain.
people thought that since Zygarde was getting new forms that it only made sense for a third game, and why not, it fits perfectly. Zygarde starts with Z, and completes the red, blue, and green theme, but even that could all be seen as speculation. But the Z name has already been used before. the trading cards and anime now both use the title XY and Z instead of only XY. so the Z name is a canon pokemon title. hell, it even seens people have forgotten about the hotel guy who hands you a statue that looks like a weird pokemon, and even says he was from another region. remember--- this is the game series that tends to tease future games through subtle nods and easter eggs. we even got a train station that serves no purpose at all. the region for Sun & Moon has been teased for years now and in the moment of the announcement, we all forgot.
so here it goes, im about to conjure up the most obscure pokemon game theory ever. but the only way i could ever possibly see all of this coming together is...
Pokemon Z will be- not the 3rd, but the 5th game in a generation. Pokemon X and Y had one region. Pokemon Sun and Gold will have another. Pokemon Z will include both. EITHER THAT or there will be some kind of Z post game in Sun and Moon like the Delta episode that unlocks the Kalos region.
