Honestly I'd say it didn't. It had the fewest Pokemon, forgettable story, and Zygarde is so bland n boring that no one really seems to care about him. I think the only reason some people still want it to come is because they were so sure Pokemon Z was gonna happen with literally all signs and logic supporting it, to the point where they think there can't be any other possibility. Hell I was one of them, but after the logo leak I slowly came around.
