Correct, NCL means Nintendo Co., Ltd. I also needed some time to figure it out. I have the feeling that the relationship between NCL and NOA isn't that good since years. I think the main difference they have is that NOA wants to tell NLC that the American market works very different than the Japanese and the consumers have a very different taste, probably also the demography is different but NCL insisted on a traditional approach, i.e. "We know what we do!" Satoru Iwata was aware of this friction that's why he became CEO of NOA to turn around things for the better. Unfortunately, he didn't had enough time to make changes but they are implemented anyway by now and I think we will have a better NOA in the future. |
I just hope that NOA finally stops trying to compete with Hasbro and Mattel instead of Microsoft and Sony.
