Review Standards for Videogames: Out of 100 points

Originality: Despite the combination of an insane amount of hours of two different games, including an expansion to the original game that (appears to) double what has already taken me roughly 100 hours to beat (including the Mario game and the Puzzle game), this game feels like a cheap knock off merger between Pokemon and Bejeweled. This is not an original game.

Graphics: Yuck. This game gives Project X Zone a run for its money in terms of unimpressive graphics.

Controls easy and fluid or difficult and rigid? The game runs fluidly in controls. I had no issues.

Is it fun? For the first 10 hours or so, then it gets really repetitive. Puzzles was a far better experience than the Mario version.

What sad reviews.

I definitely respect your opinion, but this review score deviates considerabley from what other credible review sites have given the game.  Metacritic currently has this game at a 73/100 with a user score of 75/100 which is actually above average for a niche JRPG such as what this game is.  I will agree with you, though, that the far better title looks to be P&D Z as opposed to the Super Mario Edition which was only packed in to sell to the North American audience.

These reviews completely ruin any credibility for future reviews. DKCR has a 42? Seriously? how is it so much lower than Tropical Freeze)

PXZ 18? The story is shit for sure, but the gameplay is addicting as hell. This is one of the worst reviews you can give a game, not even Sonic Boom deserves this rating.

Assassin's Creed 4 did not improve the gameplay of its predecessor so much to deserve a 34 point boost.

In fairness AC3 killed the series for many and 4 revived it. Small touches such as not a bad main character can help things big time. Not that 4 should be a 90+ by any means. 

All my reviews have reasoning and are (for the most part) up on this site if you'd like to read about why I gave them their scores. I review things based on what is important to me, and story is the single most important thing to me in a game. As great as the DK games are, they have 0 story. Trine proves how a 2-d game can still have a great story and be just as stunning and enjoyable. At this point, it's just Nintendo being lazy to not at least attempt to include a decent story, let alone one to begin with.

Project X Zone is my most hated game I've ever beaten. Every single level you battle against the same guys, in some boring terrain, do the same moves, over and over and over again for a ridiculously long campaign. It has that score because I hated it that much. It's fine if you don't agree with it though, we all get to have opinions.

AC4 had a fantastic story, had very little glitches compared to 3, and opened the flood gates on sailing a boat and participating in naval battles (a feature that is far more enjoyable than normal combat in AC).
